Art Gallery #5 Reflection

Creating my self portraits my influence came from pinterest gallery looking at all three portraits I choose for some reason I felt a emotional connection to the. In my self portrait I wanted it to look like a black and white drawing with pencil. I found it hard to pick how I wanted my self portrait to look but I later realized simplifying it would be the right way to go. The piece represents me in a sense that too much emotion is not shown but there is a slight happiness feeling to the portrait.  I enjoyed kind of comparing my portrait to others an end all making it stand out more by adding the black and white, I belive it gives a good representation of myself.

Project #4 Reflection

1. My process of making my project #4 began with me thinking like a curator. I  had to think of what pieces of work would go with my theme. With Yasou Kuniyoshi he uses alot of different colors to make his artwork. looking through his gallery I noticed throughout time his paintings began to change a bit this is where my theme was created.

13 and 14 video review

1. I've learned that lowbrow is considered a person regarded as uncultivated and lacking in taste. I've learned in the new tate building  some art may make nu question weather or not it is art.In the last video I learned that before a work of art is put into the museum curators pick apart the art to see if it belongs in the museum.
2. The video do relate to the art curation project, they ave me an insight on how otter art curators look at art and determine if its a good piece or not.
3.All three video added depth to my understanding of how art is looked at ,and gives me a understanding on the worth of a piece of art.
